Although
little known to many, Ukraine has one of the best medical Universities.
International students historically started medical Education in Ukraine a long
time ago, which dates back to the Soviet Era. Then, being the second largest
member of the Soviet Republic the country Ukraine contributed to the training
of medical students under the then existing student exchange scholarship
program of the Soviet Union.
